Dr. Mohsin Alvi is a board-certified hospitalist with over 25 years of experience delivering care across academic, urban, community, and critical access hospital settings. A respected clinician and healthcare leader, he combines deep frontline expertise with strategic insight to improve patient outcomes and operational performance. Dr. Alvi holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University and has served as faculty at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he taught evidence-based medicine. As Founder and CEO of Symbian Health, he leads the company’s mission to transform healthcare delivery through technology, with a focus on clinical quality, safety, and cost-efficiency. Passionate about innovation, Dr. Alvi brings a forward-looking approach to digital health and informatics, shaping scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of hospitals and health systems.
Sarah Suleman, MD
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Sarah Suleman is a physician executive and healthcare strategist focused on advancing innovative, technology-enabled models of care. She brings experience across digital health, telemedicine, clinical operations, and growth strategy, and has worked with healthcare organizations to design, launch, and scale solutions that address real-world care delivery challenges.
Dr. Suleman earned her Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Her work is focused on designing and scaling care models that improve access, strengthen clinical delivery, and bring high-quality care to patients beyond traditional healthcare settings.
At Symbian Health, she leads strategy and operations, driving growth and innovation across the organization. Her work is centered on transforming virtual care delivery, improving clinical outcomes, and building scalable systems that align with how care is delivered in real-world settings.
Farukh Usmani, MD

Dr. Farukh Usmani, MD, MS is a globally recognized healthcare IT and digital health leader, guiding Symbian Health’s growth at the intersection of innovation, AI, and clinical excellence. With over 22 years of experience leading digital transformation across top U.S. health systems, he brings unmatched expertise in AI-enabled diagnostics, virtual hospital care, and enterprise informatics. His work has earned global accolades, including the world’s first HIMSS Infrastructure (INFRAM24) Stage 7 Maturity Model, Triple Stage 7 (EMRAM, O-EMRAM & AMAM), CHIME Digital Health Most Wired (Level 10) and Davies Award of Excellence. Dr. Usmani strengthens Symbian’s credibility across U.S. and international markets, helping shape human-centered, future-ready models of care that scale with impact.
